Children Sponsoring Program

As our small foundation is growing, new challenges are also growing. The Covid-19 pandemic has delayed our plan for this year. From moving to a more affordable location, to raising funds and continue saving the lives of so many little children suffering from malnutrition and abuse. Recently, we hosted a virtual BINGO, as the first fundraising activity for this year. Many of you participated and made of the event a great success. Thank you!

Today, I want to share with you our children sponsorship program. This focuses on the future settlement and healthy development of the child after they leave our transition home. According to the local Ugandan law, since we are a transition home, a child should not be with us for longer than one year. Extensions are possible under certain circumstances. Every child at our home, receives exactly the same service, regardless of whether they have a sponsor or not. There is no difference at all. The money collected from the beginning of the sponsorship helps support the child while in our home and some will be used to support a sound family reintegration or fostering parenting. At that moment, we will evaluate the situation to ensure the family has a sustainable income to continue to protect the life, the wellbeing and the development of the child.

Originally, we set the sponsorship program at $40 per month. However, some aspiring sponsors have expressed a desire for the option of co-sponsoring a child. Therefore, we have created a category of co-sharing sponsoring a child for $20 per month. We are calling it “co-sharing” so one child may have 2 sponsors.
