Shamir was the second child to arrive to our transition home in Uganda. He had a very challenging entry to this world, but Shamir grew up with us as a healthy, joyful and loving child. We are happy to report that after 5 years with us, Shamir started a new life with his family.
We spent several years searching for a family member. Finally we were able to connect with his maternal grandparents. We worked with them to prepare them for this day. They are now empowered to care and provide for the family.
We handed him over with bedding, clothes, and food. StarsUganda will cover his school fees and visit him on a monthly basis to ensure his wellbeing.
Shamir’s dream is to be a doctor. We will be monitoring his progress and cheering him on!
