Help us build our new home
Thanks to the generosity of the Diocese of Jinja, Stars Uganda has been gifted two acres of land. Now, together, we can build a safe, child-centred home where children can heal, learn, and grow.
Two acres of hope
In 2024, the Diocese of Jinja gifted Stars Uganda two acres of land. This incredible generosity provides the foundation for our new home. On this land, we will build a safe, sustainable environment where children can be nourished, educated, healed, and reunited with family.
Our rented house has been a blessing, but it was never designed for children in crisis. We need a permanent home where every detail, from bedrooms to play spaces, is created for safety, stability, and healing. With a purpose-built home, we can welcome more children and give them the environment they deserve.
Our building project
Looking ahead
When the new home is complete, it will be far more than bricks and mortar. It will offer purpose-built sleeping areas and playrooms, designed for safety and healing. The grounds will include safe, child-friendly outdoor play areas where laughter and joy are part of daily life. There will also be space for our caregivers and social workers to live and work alongside the children, creating a true family environment.
The new home will also be designed to be as self-sustainable as possible. With solar energy, a large vegetable garden, and 5,000 chickens, we will provide healthy food for the children while generating income to cover part of our running costs. This sustainable approach means every gift goes further, creating long-term security for the children in our care.
