Where children find safety, stability and care
Stars Uganda is more than a house. It’s a place of safety and belonging. Our home in Jinja is where children begin their journey of rescue, nourishment, education, healing, and family reunification. It’s where they first feel safe enough to laugh, play, and dream again.
Our current home
We currently rent a house on Nile Avenue in Jinja. The property is spacious enough to host our transition home and includes a small building where some staff live. Over the years, we’ve transformed it into a warm, loving environment for children under six, with sleeping areas, playrooms, and space for daily care routines.
Our garden and poultry farm on the property provide food for the children and income to support the program.
A safe place to grow
Safety & Shelter
Our home is a place of stability where children feel safe after rescue. With sleeping areas, playrooms and nurturing caregivers, it’s the foundation for recovery and growth.
Daily Care & Nourishment
Every child receives daily meals, healthcare, and loving attention. Our garden and poultry farm provide fresh food, ensuring children grow stronger each day.
A Place to Belong
Beyond meeting physical needs, our home is where children laugh, play and begin to heal emotionally. Here, they rediscover joy and start to dream again.
A gift of land
In 2024, the Diocese of Jinja gifted Stars Uganda two acres of land. This incredible generosity provides the foundation for a permanent home designed around children’s needs. With this land, we can build a safe, sustainable environment where more children can grow, play, and prepare for life with their families.
We expect the cost of construction costs to be around $450 to 500k. Help us build the future home of Stars Uganda.
